Wicked Step-Mum Feeds 3-Day Old Infant With Acid In Ilorin (Photo)

In barely three days after a family celebrated the birth of a boy, identified as Kabir, his step-mother (name withheld) has been accused of feeding the infant with acid. The step-mother was said to have feed the baby with the poison when she requested to bath the newly born child. According to The Point, the mother of the baby willingly gave the baby to her husband’s first wife, with the hope that the woman was going to bath the child. The step-mum was said to have taken the child to a corner, and allegedly feed him with acid. After the act, the cry of the baby alerted the mother who immediately requested for her baby, but the step-mum was reluctant in releasing the baby to her. The mother of the child was said to have quickly rushed the baby to the Ilorin general hospital where the doctor confirmed that the child was feed with acid. Meanwhile, the step-mother who allegedly poisoned Kabir, said she feed the infant with a methylated spirit, adding that she committed the crime under the influence of a spell. Although the life of Kabir was saved due to prompt medical attention, the step-mother has refused to produce the ‘methylated spirit’ she feed the child with, despite threats and intimidation from her husband who is married to three wives. In a related development, the operatives of the Kano state police command apprehended three housewives in connection with the attempted murder of a girl in Gayawa village. The suspects were recently arrested in the village after the father of the girl complained to the police.

How 18-Year-Old Secondary School Student Was Arraigned For Stealing N200 And Using Charms

An 18-year-old secondary school pupil, Sadiq Adegbite, who allegedly stole N200 from a fellow pupil and used charm to harass other colleagues, was on Thursday brought before an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos. The accused, a pupil of Junior High School, Ogudu, Lagos, is facing a three counts of conspiracy, stealing and disorderly conduct. The prosecutor, Sgt. Lucky Ihiehie, said the complainant, a 15-year-old student of the school, came to Ogudu Police Station to report the incident. He said while the complainant was returning from school at Emmanuel Street, Ogudu, he was stopped by the accused and some of his friends now at large. “They were harassing him and searching his pockets for money and they even beat him up. “They dispossessed him of his N200 transport fare which was the only money he had in his pocket. “A senior student came to the complainant’s rescue and the accused brought out some charms from his pocket to scare them before the police came,” he said. Ihiehie told the court that the accused’s friends ran away on sighting the police. The offences contravened Sections 166 (d), 285 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. Adegbite, however, pleaded not guilty. His counsel, Olusegun Aghahowa, pleaded with the court to grant him bail on liberal terms considering his age. In her ruling, the Magistrate, Mrs O. Sule-Amzat, admitted the accused to a bail of N10, 000 with two sureties, one of who must be a blood relative of the accused with an evidence of gainful employment. The case was adjourned to November 1 for trial. NAN *But how can you charge a teenager to adult court for this kind of crime?why not Juvenile court?na wah!
